Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I actually have two lines of activity, that do not always intersect:
While in Brussels, I am a senior researcher at the Faculty of Law & Criminology of VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), in particular in its Research Group on Law Science Technology & Society (LSTS). I am also the Training Programmes Coordinator of the Brussels Privacy Hub. My focus is on privacy and data protection: I publish regularly with all major international publishers, present in international conferences, and take part in research projects on all related topics.
While in Athens, I am a lawyer practicing business law with a particular emphasis on startups and mid-size companies, as well as, intellectual property law. I am a co-founder of MPlegal, a niche technology law firm. For the time being I am an alternate member of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority; in the past I have been a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Copyright Organisation (for two terms). I am also a member of the Board of Directors of several sociétés anonymes and have taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Patras and at the University of the Aegean. I publish regularly books and articles (in Greek) on topics ranging from data protection to trademarks, startups and entrepreneurship. Finally, I frequently, and gladly, consult the Greek government in the fields of my expertise, participating in law-making committees and representing it in front of EU and CoE institutions.
